The Architecture and Digital Design Group is looking for bright, creative and highly motivated interns to work in a range of disciplines including algorithm exploration, digital design and verification. The ideal candidates will have a basic understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) and communications systems. Some hands-on experience in MATLAB or Verilog/VHDL is beneficial, but not mandatory. Additionally, some experience in C and scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl etc.) is desirable. Please do apply if you're interested in developing the next generation of mobile wireless solutions in world-leading SoCs on the latest process technologies.

Wi-Fi Firmware (WFF)

The Wi-Fi Firmware team has positions to work within our team. The opportunities range from working on our core firmware through to extending our test systems or enhancing our analysis tools using machine learning. Depending on your interests, knowledge of C, Python and / or Wi-Fi are applicable. All the activities will result in “real” projects that we expect to use in either our products or be used by the team in developing and debugging real customer issues.

Radio Firmware (RF)

The Radio Firmware Team is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic intern to join the team to work on the hardware abstraction layer in firmware and all related features around it. The Ideal candidate will have software development knowledge together with basic radio understanding. Some hands-on experience in C, Python and Matlab is beneficial but not mandatory. If you are keen to work with embedded systems on challenging projects, why not apply?

Dev Ops-Apps  (DO)

Verification and Validation (VV)

The Verification and Validation team is looking for interns to support Wi-Fi testing. Our team develops and uses sophisticated test systems to prove Samsung’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth products. We test Android phones and tablets, and have a suite of tools developed in-house that allow us to programmatically re-image devices under test and subject them to a suite of automated tests.  We are looking for bright engineers to join our team to help us develop tests for next-generation Wi-Fi features, including 802.11ax.  The work will involve a mixture of setting up test hardware, hands-on testing and scripting to automate the tests and analyse the results.  We are looking for candidates with good analytical skills, the ability to write code (we particularly like Python) and an interest in making our world-class products even better.

If you are interested in any of our intern opportunities we would love to hear from you. Please visit our website ( and when applying please mention in your CV your top two department preferences from above (e.g VV and DO).
