Job Description

To analyse and report on key financial data within the organisation, ensuring timely, accurate and relevant information.

 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cash book journals and carry out daily bank reconciliations

• Prepare weekly payment runs and ad hoc payments 

• Prepare internal control / risk management reporting on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis (FSCS, DC&P)

• Prepare Financial Health Checks on twice yearly basis

• Assist with budgeting yearly, P&L re-forecasting monthly and cash flow forecasting on a weekly basis

• Assist with the interim and year-end audits

• Assist with the management and tracking of corporate cards

• Prepare monthly accruals journals

• Post invoices and expenses as cover for the Purchase Ledger Clerk 

• Identify areas for improvement in our accounting and internal control systems 

• Management of corporate contracts database

• Contribute to ad hoc accounting projects 

• Support the finance team during busy periods / act as back-up whilst team members are off

 

Required Skills:

• Degree or equivalent qualification and experience

• Good Accountancy experience

• Good Microsoft Office skills

• Excellent Excel skills

• Experience of SAP or similar ERP system
